Music Blog:
Welcome back to Lively, music students! In music class last year you had the opportunity to play a variety of instruments. Please tell me which instrument was your favorite one to play and why?
Perhaps you did not get to play your favorite instrument. Please tell me the name of the instrument and what is your favorite thing about that paticular instrument.

If you were a producer and could make a movie out of the book you read, who would you cast as the main characters? Why do you think these people could relate to the characters better than anyone else?

I’ll be asking my class to respond to “Wild about _______”. They have to pick their favorite subject or hobby or activity, etc. This gives me an idea about their main interest which provides me a topic to discuss with them.

I really like the idea of using the blog to share book reviews. That is a great way for kids to communicate with each other and to me what literature was really engaging and what was not so great.

Reading:One way I will use Blog in my classroom this year is to have my students “book talk” on a book they are or have read. I will also use blogging as a Poetry station to have the students share their opinions and thought on poems.
